I’m a big fan of granola. But I find that many of the store-bought options are lacking in one way or another, such as being bland, containing ingredients I don’t care for, or containing unhealthy preservatives. Luckily, I found a wonderful recipe on the Mother Nature Network website, which after a couple very minor modifications, is now my go-to recipe for Homemade Granola. It’s really easy to make, and provides a great option for a natural, healthy snack.

Homemade Peanut Butter

Homemade Peanut Butter

After making two new recipes for my 50 in 15 Challenge for breakfast, I felt even more adventurous this afternoon — enough so to tackle homemade peanut butter. I can in no way claim this as my own, as I found a recipe for Wok Fried Peanut Butter on Alton Brown’s website. Being a big fan of Alton Brown and all the science and information he presents, I’m always trusting of his recipes. So I decided to give his Wok Fried Peanut Butter a shot, making a couple slight modifications including adding a bit more honey than originally called for, as well as making the final peanut butter creamy rather than chunky. Wouldn’t you know it, even with my modifications, I couldn’t be happier with the results!
